My First Ceramic Workshop @ Thirty3Eleven with Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S

In conjunction with launching of Xiaomi new smartphone with ceramic design - Mi MIX 2S. There was a ceramic workshop organized at Thirty3Eleven, a ceramics label founded by interior designer, Lee Ee Vee. I find it quite refreshing way to explore and learn how to make ceramic, it is also a fresh new way to explore new gadgets too haha. So below are some photos taken during our exclusive ceramic making workshop.

Thirty3Eleven is located at Perdana View Condo and it is actually pretty well hidden. You can see this place is kinda basic but with a few beautiful corners well-decorated with their finished ceramic cups, plates and bowls.

Today not much about the phone yet (perhaps a series of photos taken using Mi MIX 2S near the end of this post) but the fun experience in making ceramic ware. To be honest, making ceramic need a HUGE bunch of patience and time in making a good one. From one mixtures including clay, earthen elements, powders, and water and shaping them into desired forms, ceramic is then fired in a high temperature oven known as a kiln. Usually people complete their ceramics by covering it with decorative, waterproof, paint-like substances known as glazes.

Now below are some photos taken using Mi MIX 2S straight from the camera, you can easily differentiate it with others because of the watermark at the bottom left. (You may disable the watermark whenever you like). The Portrait-Mode on Mi MIX 2S is kinda identical to Xiaomi Mi A1. You can check out my previous Mi A1 camera review post:

On the same day I went to KL after this ceramic workshop. Find out that the low-light photos taken using Mi Mix 2S is pretty nice. Checked on the manual mode and saw it has ISO setting up to ISO1600, and shutter speed can be lengthen until 32 seconds.  I can do a lot of light drawing with 32 seconds shutter speed yo.
