Sunway Lagoon Water Adventure Quest with Samsung Galaxy A8 & A8+ (2018)Bungee Jump Challenge at Sunway Lagoon Theme Park |
If you know me long enough, you know I love water adventures and thrill rides. Flying fox, bungee jump, surfing board, G-Force and many more. People say, "Go and experience all these activities that make your adrenaline rush while you are still young!". I've slowly stepping into to the age of need to take care of my health (blood pressure, cholesterol and etc) hence when there is a chance to go for adventure in Sunway Lagoon Theme Park, how can I say no right?
I was at Sunway Lagoon Theme Park for the "Galaxy A8 Lagoon Quest" with other adventurous buddies who are up for the challenges. We were told to complete a few challenges and activities by just using the Samsung Galaxy A8/A8+ (2018). Most of the activities need us taking photos and video during the extreme activities including bungee jump and the Vuvuzela Ride.
Do check out the photos below taken during our Samsung Galaxy A8 Adventure. All selfies were taken using the brand new Samsung Galaxy A8 with the IP68 water-resistant body and Dual Front Camera (16MP + 8MP) F1.9 rear camera. The best thing about A8/A8+(2018) is when you can blur things behind you when your background looks too crowdy, some photos were actually taken by the event photographer who were running together with us to complete these quests. Basically this Lagoon challenge involve proper planning hence we decided to start with Bungee Jump as this challenge is very time consuming especially when there's someone who just couldn't jump from the platform. It was a time challenge too so me and my teammate
YuHang (from Tashi Media) quickly went for this.

YuHang was having his first bungee jump in his lifetime and he did it with ease. I am glad that he is not afraid of height too. Everyone who completed the bungee jump will be given a certificate =)

| Take a selfie underwater using Samsung Galaxy A8 |
How to take selfie underwater with Samsung Galaxy A8 Smartphone?
One of the challenge was to take selfie photo using the Samsung Galaxy A8. If you haven't know, you can actually use the Volume Control button as the camera shutter button when you submerge your Samsung phone under water. With that you can easily take selfie photos underwater.

Vuvuzela Ride in Sunway Lagoon is one of my favourite ride. There's always long queue for this ride so I am glad that we have the Express Pass to skip the queue. Our challenge on this ride was to take a selfie video while going into the big vortex. It was really fun especially when you are sharing the ride with people with bigger size. That's because your float will swing higher and further when you've got into the vortex hahaha.
A tips for you, usually there will be less people taking the Vuvuzela before the theme park close. So go play for multiple time after 5pm as the theme park close at 6pm.

Our last challenge was to capture selfie photo with birds in the aviary. It was the most challenging for us as we were chasing the peacocks in the aviary and the photo of the bird need to be clear. Photo above was taken using Samsung Galaxy A8 Dual Camera funtion switched on. Hence the background was blurred out with the assistance of the dual camera.
However, you can
always adjust the level of blurriness even after you take a photo. We took a few photos and decrease the blurriness so the peacock and background looks sharp again.

It was really fun to do all these activities in Sunway Lagoon. The event ended at 3pm but I stay back to play other outdoor rides until they close. Thanks for this exhilarating adventures and I would love to come back again to try the surfing FlowRider. I've noticed that recently One Utama Shopping Mall has this FlowRider too. Has anyone tried that before?

You can always adjust the level of blurriness of your selfie even after you took the photo. This is what I find useful and new about Samsung Galaxy A8 when there's no one to help you take a proper OOTD photo.
