Dara Independence Beach Resort & Spa (or more well known as Independence Hotel) was the hotel that I stay when I first visit Sihanoukville, Cambodia. I know nothing about Sihanoukville until I googled about this place. To be honest, nothing much can be found through online, and I was depending on Trip Advisor recommended "things to do" with mostly beach attractions on their page.
Today I would just like to talk about Dara Independence Beach Resort & Spa and my twonights stay experience over there. I was first attracted by the pictures of their new infinity pool and can't wait to check out this hotel. Overall, it was a comfortable stay with great Seafood Dinner @ Sunset Restaurant, super relaxing oil massage at their Jouvence Spa located within Independence Hotel. I must not forget to mention their real beautiful infinity pool located right at the coastal line where you can see beautiful sunset.

We were staying at Independence Hotel 7 floor building and luckily enough we had a room at 7th floor and the room is overlooking at the sea view. If you want the best view, definitely you should go for the room at the right corner for the better scenery view.

We were staying at their Deluxe Room. Here's how our room looks like. It is basically very simple decorated. With enough power plug to charge all my camera and electrical device. Complimentary drinking water and the best is when you open up the curtain to reveal the sea view. Toilet looks basic but with a bathtub and hair dryer. It would be great if they have installed a shower curtain so that the floor won't be wet after use.
Overall, the bed was comfort for sleep and I woke up early to check out the sea view. (I always love the sunrise and sunset) If you focus enough you can see fisherman boats moving around like a cute miniature boat.
THE GORGEOUS INFINITY POOL @ INDEPENDENCE HOTEL
It is good that Dara Independence Hotel had revamped their place with a new beautiful infinity pool like this right at the hill side. You walk down from the lobby and you can see the amazing view especially when the weather is sunny. They have elevated platform and got a spacious Jacuzzi right next to the pool bar. Check out the view through the photos below:
There are also mini space like above with cushions for you to lean on and relax. Best to enjoy the sea breeze and sunset at the Infinity Pool.
This is how the Independence Hotel's Infinity Pool looks like from the top. Isn't it beautiful? =) At the right side secluded part of the pool, right on the seashore and amidst tropical gardens, has some villa that can fit lots more people. There are villa that have their own private plunge pool too. Definitely quiet and you can have your own privacy with the ocean view and surrounded by trees.

SUNSET RESTAURANT @ DARA INDEPENDENCE BEACH RESORT & SPA
If you prefer not to eating out for the day, do pay a visit to Sunset Restaurant right next to the hotel's gym and spa. Yon can have a view of the sunset while having dinner from here too. There's also lift that can take you back up so you don't need to climb the stairs.
There were seafood buffet available for us, beautiful appetiser and a very creamy mantis prawn soup being served while we waiting for the BBQ Station to get ready. Since Angkor Beer has a brewery in Sihanoukville, the Angkor beer here is considered cheap. Even when you order beer through room service, it is only USD 2.
The seafood was fresh and my favourite are the huge prawns and meat skewers. Thanks to the chef who did a great cooking.
JOUVENCE SPA @ DARA INDEPENDENCE BEACH RESORT & SPA
After spending whole day doing island hoping to Koh Rong Island and Koh Rong Sanloem, we went for a massage at Jouvence Spa. We went for the oil massage and it was very comfortable and relaxing. I highly recommend you guys especially couple to go for a pampering session.

Overall Staying Experience @ Dara Independence Beach Resort & Spa
Our three days two nights stay at Independence Hotel was short but sweet. The room was simple and cozy. They have that beautiful infinity pool that you could spend whole evening there to enjoy a swim and the sunset. Western and Chinese breakfast spread was included during our stay so you can choose the food that you like.
If you want to drop by the Sihanoukville Town and visit their central market (or more well known as Phsar Leu Market) It is just a toot-toot away. It would cost around USD 5 one way if I remember correctly. Feel free to ask the front desk for assistance.
Oh ya, WiFi was provided for hotel guests and it is pretty fast when then connection is not congested. You can always get a local sim card like Metfone for data coverage. It was USD 5 for a few GB of 4G Internet Data.
