First, I should show you what I manage to shoot during my several visit to this beautiful place. It was really hot in there and you need to walk like 15-20 minutes distance just to reach here if you are not driving a four-wheel drive (or else your car might sink into the sand and caught stranded there).
The best time to visit
Padang Pasir Melaka (Padang Pasir Klebang) is during
sunrise or sunset hour. This is because you will able to get the amazing lighting during golden hour to create the amazing contrast on your background. I will show you some pictures below:

THINGS TO BRING BEFORE YOU GO TO PADANG PASIR KLEBANG AT MELAKA
- Bring along a huge bottle of water because it will be really hot in there if you want to spend whole evening there.
- Bring cap, sunglasses, umbrella or apply sunblock in case you don't want to get tanned
- Wear comfortable sport shoes instead of flip-flop as your shoes might sink into the hungry sand.
- Bring a tripod if you want to have a family photo or time lapse all by yourself. Well you can hire me if you don't have a tripod haha
- Most importantly, bring an extra plastic/environmental bag to keep all your rubbish in it so it won't give the land owner more reason to restrict us from going there for an adventure.

Remember, to keep this place beautiful, don't leave any rubbish there. You are what you create. |
If the road hasn't change, this is what you will see when you walking towards Padang Pasir Klebang. The whole place are sandy and growing with some spiky plant that will only survive on desert place. There are more beautiful plants blooming too if you spend some time looking for it.

WHERE'S MELAKA DESERT PADANG PASIR KLEBANG?
Padang Pasir Klebang is actually located in somewhere near Pantai Klebang Besar and Muzium Kapal Selam Melaka. It is actually on the sea and google map haven't update the whole area yet. To go there, you can search for "Pantai Klebang" or "Muzium Kapal Selam" so you can see the huge logo of Dataran 1 Malaysia Melaka
DI MANA LOKASI PADANG PASIR KLEBANG?
Senang nak cari Padang Pasir Klebang. Guna Waze/Google Map cari "Muzium Kapal Selam" untuk pergi area sana. Awak akan sampai di satu hujung jalan. Untuk pergi ke Padang Pasir Klebang, awak perlu pergi off-road pandu on the sandy road untuk sampai ke padang pasir itu. Lokasi dah dilabelkan macam gambar di bawah

HOW TO GO TO PADANG PASIR KLEBANG/ MELAKA DESERT ??
Use the Waze/Google Map Navigation application on your smartphone to easily reach there. Search for 'Pantai Klebang' and 'Muzium Kapal Selam' so you can reach the area. Padang Pasir Klebang is actually that triangle shape reclaimed island that connected to the mainland. Once you drive all the way on the tar road towards the sea, the tar road ended halfway and you need to start driving into the sandy area.
There used to be straight road to Padang Pasir but developers blocked the road for safety reason (since it is a reclaimed land, certain part of the land might not be stable and it is possible to have hidden sinking holes hazard for visitors). Therefore you will need to stop your car halfway and walk towards the desert in Melaka.
I hope my description is good enough to bring you to this wonderland. If you have any question on how to go, let me know kay? Or else, share your selfie/pictures taken at Padang Pasir Klebang at the comment section below (or

I've been to Padang Pasir Klebang in Melaka for several times and the weather was awful when I first went there last year. It was hazy hence I couldn't see the blue sky and eventually the background blend in with the sky. After that, I went there again during Chinese New Year and was checking on the weather forecast so that I can see sunset. Or else there's no point you go there without a mission and that perfect natural lights.
I will show you some photos taken during my first (hazy weather) visit walking on the desert without proper direction. I was taking the #WalterMitty adventure spirit to explore the forbidden ground. You can compare the photos taken during my most recent visit to this place. Definitely better lights to lit up the mysterious desert in Melaka.

Before I end this post, you should actually drop by
Klebang Original Coconut Shake before/after your trip to
Padang Pasir Klebang to chill yourself out. It is getting more pricey since they have more visitors now. But since you are not coming Melaka everyday, no harm try out coconut shake there right? Just mention 'TianChad.com' for a 10% off on your drink *just kidding~*
Hope this post manage to help you search for this desert in Melaka. Do keep it clean or perhaps remove the rubbish that you came over when you are on your way back. That's how more people can come back to this place even if it is just a family hang out location during school holiday and weekend.
