Interview with Pandelela Rinong: Not My Day #2014AsianGames

After Dato' Lee Chong Wei, we get to interview our Team Samsung Athletes Pandelela Rinong at the Samsung Athletes Village the next day after her 10m platform diving match. Although she didn't manage to grab any medal this time around, she has stayed positive and planning to get back to the academy and continue training for the next match.

Here's our interview below:

Firstly, we asked about the performance at the game. Pandelela Rinong said that she was in good condition throughout the game, however, after her first dive, she noticed that it wasn't her best performance and it has affected results. As compared to the synchronise dive, which she did well has set the bar high up. Hence, during her individual dive, it was kinda considered an off peak performance and it wasn't her day.

According to Pandelela, China athletes has been performing well for the past four years, she can see that countries like North Korea, South Korea and Japan's athletes has improved a lot too. Pandelela added that she feel honoured on having this opportunity to compete with them.

After Incheon Asian Games, Pandelela Rinong is going to train and prepare for FINA Diving Grand Prix 2014 which will be held by end of October in Malaysia.

As a huge Hallyu Wave and K-Pop fans, Pandelela also hope that she can meet Bigbang members in person during the Incheon Asian Games Closing Ceremony. From what I saw on that big screen during the closing ceremony, I can see that Pandelela was really enjoying the up close moments with Bigbang members.

Pandelela also did a thank you video to thank all her supportive fans from Malaysia and promise to train harder and perform better for the next upcoming competition.
