Adobe Lightroom Exported Photo Looks Yellowish/Bluish? Here's the solution!!

Photo doesn't turn out well from Adobe Lightroom??
I guess a lot Adobe Lightroom users will face this issue once in a lifetime. Your photo has been edited perfectly with desired color and skin tone and it looks great on Adobe Lightroom. Nightmares happen when you found out that the photos you exported from Adobe Lightroom has become yellowish/bluish and it definitely has changed the way how it should looks like.

I've been searching high and low for the solution for yellowish photo exported by Adobe Lightroom and most of them saying we should do monitor calibration and color profile for monitor. Do note that there is a difference when you use different monitor to view the same image. For example, Samsung Monitor will show more vivid color with its AMOLED screen and you definitely need the right monitor profile to show your photo correctly. Sometimes even when you have calibrated your screen perfectly the image you've exported from Adobe Lightroom will still look awful.

This happens to me twice and I've finally found the right way to solve this problem. (at least for my problem) Few days ago before this problem happened, I updated my Windows 8 to 8.1 and NVIDIA Graphic Drivers. Since then my photos has appeared to become bluish although it looks fine on Adobe Lightroom. I import the photo again and it appear even more bluish after I export, this tells me that it is either Adobe Lightroom Export setting or my monitor has faulty error. To prevent this happen, always make sure you capture and edit your photos in sRGB color tone. Read more to find out the solution =)

Every PC has their own Color Management, regardless of which monitor you use, this color profile will decide how your photo turns out on your computer screen when open with different apps.

How to stop Adobe Lightroom exported photos looks yellowish/bluish:
  1. Go to Control Panel >> Color Management.
  2. Then choose the third tab "Advanced".
  3. At "Windows Color System Defaults" Device Profile, choose "Adobe RGB 1998".

Go to Control Panel >> Color Management.

Then choose the third tab "Advanced" once Color Management is opened

At your Windows Color System Defaults, choose "Adobe RGB (1998)"

All you need is a correct color profile to prevent the color difference in your photo outcome. If this does not solve the problem, make sure to check your Adobe Lightroom Export Setting. You should learn the difference between sRGB and ProPhoto RGB too. Just Google it for more info =)
