"Thank you for bringing this up, but I would like to just add that our payment to the artists have been made, so as far as we are concerned, the show will go on. And this is regardless of whether or not the event will profit. Even if it does (no one can tell as this is a first) - the profits will be donated. Yes this is a huge unprecedented challenge - to hold something of this scale OUT of the city. But this is exactly the point. This will hopefully put the northern towns on the map, and make concerts affordable to all (note the prices for such a lineup; a festival, not a single-artist concert). Music should be accessible - and the smaller towns have much to offer. We hope this concert will showcase all this. Thanks again."

Eupe Corporation Berhad, one of Malaysia’s leading property developers in northern Malaysia, today announced it was staging one of the biggest entertainment events ever in that region.

The Planet EUPE Music Fest on March 1, 2014 will showcase some of the biggest and best music acts from around Asia as well as Malaysia. The event was announced this morning at a press conference held at Hilton Kuala Lumpur Hotel.

The event is set to take place at Eupe’s Carnivall Water Park, located within the Cinta Sayang Resort in Sungai Petani, Kedah. The Planet Eupe Music Fest will be headlined by Mandopop star Wang Lee Hom, who is one of Asia’s most recognised and popular artistes.

Support acts for the night include Malaysian singer-songwriter Yuna, popular South Korean K-Pop boy band, U-KISS and Taiwanese electro-pop sensation, Jeannie Hsieh. Other local acts in the line-up include

Orange Tan, Najwa Latif, Da.Mon.Ster, Kah Jun and Mint G.

The Planet Eupe Music Fest will also feature the final to choose Malaysia’s entrant for the 2014 Hip Hop International Dance Championship which will be held in Las Vegas, USA. The WonderLand+ is the event management for the Planet Eupe Music Fest.

According to Eupe Corporation Berhad Managing Director, Dato’ Beh Huck Lee, the event has the potential to change the music and cultural landscape of the northern region. PLANET EUPE MUSIC FESTIVAL 2014 Seating Plan

A total of 20,000 tickets for the Planet Eupe Music Fest will go on sale from December 18, 2013 and there will be four price bands – RM90 (free standing), RM190 (free standing), RM290 numbered seat) and RM390 (numbered seat). From 18th to 31st December 2013 public can enjoy 15% discount on all ticket prices! Tickets can be purchased in person at the Cinta Sayang Resort and are also available via TicketCharge – (www.ticketcharge.com.my) and its authorised outlets.

After seeing so many concerts has been cancelled last minute this year, I believe people are worry if this PLANET EUPE MUSIC FESTIVAL 2014 will really happen since concert cancellation has somehow become a norm in Malaysia... If you were me, will you travel all the way to Sungai Petani for a concert? Which is much further away from the center of the city??
