The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s 50th anniversary. Happy birthday!

In conjunction with The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s 50th anniversary celebration, I was invited to join their 50th Anniversary Bash at CBTL TTDI outlet! During the 2-hour gathering, creator of CBTL's food recipe, Chef Christina was there to introduce us the new food and beverages.





This Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf's TTDI store is located at Unit 6-2-0 Sinaran TTDI, Jalan Tun Mohd Fuad 4, Taman Tun Dr Ismail.

There was this 50th Anniversary Open House on every last Monday of April, May and June, from 2-6pm for you to enjoy The Original Mocha/Vanilla Ice Blended drinks at 50% off. I hope you manage to grab it while the promo was still on =(

Before having our lunch with all the new menu, a staff from CBTL briefed us and did a demo on how to use their CBTL Single Serve Beverage Machine.

There are three different models for this beverage machine:

• Contata
• Americano
• Kaldi

All three models of CBTL Single Serve Beverage Machine can make perfect espresso, coffee, tea or even chocolate beverages that The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf are famous for, easily at home or office. One think that I like about their beverage machine is you don't need to remove the capsule manually as they have this special container to store used capsule with just a pull. This definitely save times in preparing drinks to serve the customers or your friend at office/home.

After the demo on how to easily prepare hot drinks using the CBTL Single Serve Beverage machine, we were then served with many delicious foods that enlighten us. Check out the pictures below:

Poppy Citrus Salad (RM18.00)

Fresh lettuce topped with chicken bacon bits, poppy seed, juicy mandarin oranges, almond flakes and drizzled with lime juice, olive oil and onion vinaigrette. Make sure you mix them all together and get that refreshing taste specially from the citrus fruits.

Chinese Chicken Salad (RM18.00)

Fresh lettuce topped with fried Vermicelli with chicken breast, sweet and sour sauce, Chinese cornflakes, almond flakes and sesame seed. Tasted super crunchy when you chew all together with the flakes and vege.

New pasta in CBTL - Pesto Farfalle (RM14.50)

Bow-tie Farfalle pasta tossed with basil walnut pesto, grilled mix capsicums, mushrooms and pine-nuts. Suitable for vegetarians but it tasted just normal for me. Maybe cause I am a carnivore haha

Chicken Lasagna (RM16.50)

A savory dish with layers of lasagna, minced chicken, hearty tomato sauce and lots of cheese. A very common dish that will never go wrong with the taste. Beware as it tasted super cheesy ;p

Egg Club Sandwich (RM18.50)

Tender Turkey slices and poached egg with melted cheddar, served with a choice of Panini or Ciabatta bread and fresh side salad. Serve it while hot.

Turkey and Melted Cheddar Cheese Sandwich (RM16.50)

Turkey ham topped with melted cheddar cheese served on crusty Ciabatta bread. Definitely a healthy dish to have for your breakfast/lunch. Eat more vegetables as part of its side dish for a healthier you!

Pesto Chutney Zucchini Burger (RM15.50)

Zucchini & Parmesan cheese patty laced with pineapple chutney and basil walnut pesto, enfolded in a soft Vienna bun and served with Cranberry salad. This burger will be more full-filling if compared with the  sandwiches =)

“Vol-au-vent” with salmon cheese mousse and smoked salmon topping; mini Ciabatta with savory herb cheese and avocado; fresh-baked pita stuffed tuna mayo and mini baguette with light egg mayo. It's Salmon yo! I like that very much =)

Sweet Pickings Party Pack (RM58.00/pack of 20 pcs)

A pastry lovers’ heaven – bite-sized coffee eclairs, brownies, praline puffs, fruit tartlets and white-chocolate raspberry cake. Make sure to get your hands all down for these delicious desserts. I like the rasberry cake the most beside their huge strawberries =)

Mocha Cheesecake (RM9.50/slice; RM88 whole)

An irresistible blend of coffee and chocolate cheesecake. Pair it with a cup of hot coffee or tea to refresh your taste buds before each bites =)

Hummingbird Cake (RM8.90/slice; RM85 whole)

A light sponge cake enriched with crunchy walnuts, bananas, coconut flakes and chocolate chips all topped with a lip-smacking butter icing.Walnut is healthy, therefore you should try this less sinful cake to save your waist haha.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Sparkling Iced Tea(Apple, Berries, Lemon) and bottled tea with Peach/lemon/Jasmine Oolong flavor

Among all cold drinks, I find jasmine Oolong Tea tasted quite special and nice as I am quite familiar with the taste of other drinks.

Delicious food must always paired with nice drinks too

 In overall, if you like a place where you can use free WiFi while sipping your coffee or even having your meal, then The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf will be the right place to be =) Just say hi to the barista and order your favourite drinks~
