Klebang Original Coconut Shake [Melaka Must Eat]

I heard my friend said that they no longer using Wall's Vanilla Ice-cream but I haven't get a chance to pay a visit recently. Feel free to share your dining experience here]

 

Here's my brother happily posing with three glasses of Melaka's famous Klebang Original Coconut Shake. It was a hot and cloudy weekend where the brothers decided to head to this place to have some cool drinks. There are two ways to enjoy the Coconut Shake, you can either take away or dine-in at their shop with open air parking just beside the shop.

It was a holiday weekend during Chritmas season and the place was flooded with tourists and locals who like to have a taste of this Coconut Shake in Klebang. Sometimes the traffic jam at the stretch of road to Klebang is caused by overwhelmed visitors to this place, many people parked their car at the roadside not knowing that there is a parking just beside the restaurant.

The parking space beside the restaurant is currently big enough to fit 50 and above vehicles. You can enjoy the kampung view from here. Best advice is that you shall come during weekend if you want to avoid the crowd.

Here's how their shop's main door looks like - Klebang Original Coconut Shake. Why do they emphasize the word 'original'? It is because they are the first one to start this business at this place and now there are people trying to copy and sell the same drinks nearby.

This place can fit over 150++ people at one time and I can assure you their service is really fast.

Immediately after we found a table to sit down, the waiter was there to ask how many glasses of Coconut Shake we want. That's my brother stunned with the efficiency of the food being served hahaha.

Here's me showing you the ice-cream that's gonna disappear in my mouth within just seconds.

In the restaurant, they are serving other food as well, 3 pieces of 'kuih' for RM 1.00. Karipap Sardin/Kari, Cucur Jagung, Lekor and much more. They sell Fried Mee and BiHun too. For me, their kuih tasted normal only, the karipap's filling is very little.

Nasi Lemak - RM1.20/pack

If you visit here for lunch, I would advice you to have their mini Nasi Lemak, very simple rice with sambal that will make you full.

After all, the main selling point of this place is still their Coconut Shake. There are reasons why it tasted so delicious too.

Why Klebang Original Coconut Shake tasted so good?

• They serve you drinks with icy-cold glasses. This make your drink stay fresh and cold to drink. The ice-cream won't met that fast too
• They are generous in giving you a scoop of Vanilla flavored ice-cream. Wall's Vanilla Ice-cream tasted really good =)
• The secret recipe is at the ice-blender itself. While waiting for paying the bill, I saw the waiter was blending fresh coconut drink and its flesh along with ice and perhaps a few scoops of vanilla ice-cream too. It is the ice-blender that make the ice tasted so fine and melt immediately in your mouth.
• Quick and fresh serving from the kitchen. Once you sit down you can have a cup of fresh coconut shake, how can you resist not to order another cup?! I always order 2 cups to satisfy my taste buds.
• A cold drinks that cool you down from the hot weather in Melaka.

He processed 500++ coconuts/per day to satisfy the customers

I went to snap photos of the "coconut chopper" who mentioned that he usually need to open and process at least 500 coconuts to meet the requirement. Or else you all won't have enough Coconut Shake to drink. I always feel awesome when I able to get close to someone and know their story =D

Coconut Shake Regular is sellign at RM1.70/glass and if you take-away will be RM0.30 more expensive. Usually people come here to drink their Coconut Shake Special (with a scoop of Vanilla Ice-cream) selling at RM2.20/cup.

You are advised to dine-in because if you take-away the size is smaller but more expensive too. Besides that, it tasted really better with the chilled glass.

Klebang Original Coconut Shake is located along Jalan Klebang Besar and you can easily notice this place when you see people queuing at the roadside. You will able to see a lot of Wall's umbrella and branding too. Yoiu may also google 'Jalan Ghaffar' since Google map don't have their exact location. 

I've tried to add the location but Google Map changed the rules. Anyway, the owner should make their own listing of the shop location =)
