Emcee, Dian Sharlin welcomed guests to the premiere of Small Mission Enterprise (S.M.E) presented by MALAYSIA SME, a partnership that aspiring Davids among today’s sea of corporate Goliaths will appreciate the light-hearted approach taken by MALAYSIA SME when it comes to edutainment that isn’t condescending, dry and preachy.
Wayne Lim, CEO of MALAYSIA SME delivered the opening speech and thanked everyone for making time to celebrate the launch of the much anticipated sitcom.
A tongue-in-cheek take on Small Medium Enterprises, the sitcom will be MALAYSIA SME’s first foray into television, and it has the makings of a rib-tickling affair even as it looks to create awareness of the various stumbling-blocks encountered by entrepreneurs from all walks of life – whether it be a family stationary business, a tailoring shop or a pastry café. The quirky premise pays tribute to the gung-ho spirit and determination of those who decide to strike out on their own accord.
“It’s the first time ever that an SME sitcom is being aired on Malaysian television. And like any humble beginning that was fuelled by a desire to carve out a niche and champion the entrepreneurial spirit of gung-ho individuals, Small Mission Enterprise (S.M.E) was an undertaking that was meant to inform even as it entertains,” asserts Wayne.
“Hopefully, the colourful antics and comic timing of our talented cast will shine through in a comedy that the whole family can enjoy.”
Small Mission Enterprise (S.M.E) director Douglas Lim, who also took to the stage, credited the successful completion of the project to a strong story concept that never wavered from its quest to inject the technical know-hows of running a small business into light-hearted premise.
“As the director, it was imperative that I was able to meld sketch-show elements of the show with the narrative that often had practical real-life situations that aspiring entrepreneurs have to deal with,” states Douglas. “Our wonderful cast definitely made the experience a memorable one.”

Here's that awkward moment of Ruzana while Baki still laughing out loud for this scene hahaha.
My review after watching the first episode of Small Mission Enterprise (S.M.E):
Well I watched the episode of S.M.E where Mohan is helping his dad to improve the business by getting the latest printer. There were many jokes involved with the printer, some were lame, some were funny and some were true; Jose was planning to open his own company and thanks to his girlfriend Michelle, he manage to open the company easily. I my self as an self employed personnel, find it really interesting as I did opened my own company already but there are more stuff to learn and execute if I want to be a successful entrepreneur.
I bet by watching this humor series of S.M.E sitcom I can learn how to be a better entrepreneur in future time =) If you are a person who wanted to have own business/company but don't know where to start? You should start watching this show then =)
