In April 2011, over 2.3 million Malaysians fixed their eyes on ntv7 to witness the wedding of Will & Kate. In the run-up to their much anticipated Malaysia visit from 13 – 15 September, followers of the Royal Couple are once again showing their support through a variety of activities and even the press is getting ready to deploy their fittest crew to follow The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge when they make their way to Malaysia from 13 – 15 September. With this, a special team from ntv7 is created to produce a 1-hour special “Wil & Kate – The Malaysian Tour”, which will be aired on Sunday, 16 September at 9.30pm. Viewers will be able to watch footages taken from the 3-day tour as well as exclusive interviews and reports related to the Royal Couple.

Meanwhile, ntv7’s The Breakfast Show and Bella will also be celebrating their arrival with special segments in the show starting September 9. An interesting mix of content on The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge including Kate Middleton’s fashion, the couple’s extraordinary love story and their contribution to the society, trivia, fun facts, and even a recap on their fairy-tale wedding, will be explored in the morning talkshows. The team who will be producing these segments will also be adding in a local voice to the reports through commentaries and vox pops from the public. The Breakfast Show airs Monday to Friday at 8am, while Bella airs on Sunday at 1.30pm and Monday to Thursday at 11am. TV3’s magazine programme, “Nona” will also dedicate a special segment on 30 September, Sunday at 2pm to celebrate the visit. The segment will bring viewers to explore the elegance of Kate’s iconic fashion as well as the Couple’s charity works and their love for nature and sports.

The Royal Couple’s visit to Malaysia is the 2nd leg of their tour through Singapore (11 – 13 September), Solomon Islands (16 – 18 September) and Tuvalu (18 – 19 September) to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, which marks 60 years since her accession in 1952. Celebrations were previously held for Her Majesty’s Silver Jubilee in 1977 and Golden Jubilee in 2002.
