Yesterday I was at Menara Celcom for the launching of their new mobile services - Celcom PortaWiFi. It’s the one device that gets you connected at home, on the road and on the go. With Celcom PortaWiFi you have your own personal and secure WiFi connection, one that you can enjoy with the wide coverage of Celcom Territory.

So this is how the Celcom PortaMifi looks like. An upgrade of the Celcom First Data with USB Dongle , car adapter  and 3 pin home adapter that make your internet become mobile anywhere in Celcom territory.

 When you purchase the Celcom PortaWiFi device @ RM159 it comes with the USB dongle, car adaptor/charger and 3-Pin home adapter.

This Celcom PortaMifi considered suitable for family members as it allow up to 5 users to connect to the internet at same time. The data speeds will be up to 21 Mbps depends on your coverage area. If you are geek enough you can just use the tethering services through your smartphone that has Celcom Data Plan =)

Celcom also introduced the HuaWei MediaPad package that's selling at RM699 for the device. Once you hold it on hand you'll feel the weight of its metallic build.

Me and @saimatkong was trying out the Celcom PortaMiFi installed in the car and I gotta say the speed of the internet really depends on your coverage area. If you are driving across the forest, don't expect 21 Mbps speed kay? =)
