Ming Ren Chinese Cuisine food tasting together with Wendy, Max and Daniel |
"Ming Ren is a gourmet restaurant that specializes in authentic Xinjiang-style cuisine and Chinese fine dining. Xinjiang literally translates into "New Frontier" or "New Boundary"; likewise, Ming Ren Restaurant is dedicated to opening up new frontiers in exquisite culinary experiences while pushing the boundaries of taste and luxury."
"The interior design concept for Ming Ren Restaurnat harmoniously blends Chinese artistry with contemporary sensibilities, creating a welcoming ambience that is both Oriental and luxurious. The restaurant is bedecked with extravagant Chinese antiques alongside modernized interpretations of traditional elements, including an elegant bamboo partition and stylized textured wall embedded with gold ornaments. the lighting within the restaurant resembles the glow of a Chinese lantern, while the yellow-gold carpeting lends the venue an elegant air."
"Xinjiang cuisine mainly involves the use of lamb cooked in a dazzling array of styles. Ming Ren Restaurant offers only the best cuts of meat derived from the finest breed of lamb from selected pastures in the Xinjiang Ba Er Lu Ke region, which is located over 3,000 meters above sea level. The fresh air, clean water and chemical-free food used in this area ensure that the meat of the sheep is succulent, as well as low in fat and cholesterol. These succulent premium cuts are cooked to perfection with a delightful combination of innovative, bold and inspired culinary methods using a delectable range of herbs, spices and seasonings that are wholly imported from Xinjiang. All dishes are served in single portions for a complete fine dining experience."
One of the specialties in Ming Ren restaurant. This was my first time tasted a pie with soft lamb fill and you must put the whole pie into your mouth to feel the whole thing! That's a tiny piece of cheese on top of each pie.
'Catch the Lamb' was made by steaming the lamb bones for several hours just to get the essence. Different part of lamb bones will create different kind of smell. If you really like lamb, you will like the soup that's made of lamb's spine bone. Well, I personally like this bowl of soup the way it was. A little fire was lighted on to keep your soup warm too.
The herbs and chili powder that you can mix it to your 'Cath the Lamb' soup for different taste. One thing you can do to customize your soup that satisfy your taste buds |
One of the Xinjiang specialties in Ming Ren restaurant. The top left piece of meat is consider best parts among all. You can eat it directly that way or have it dip inside the sauce prepared for you. I don't mind have more of these ribs ;p
Nuffie Darren snapping the food photo with his Samsung GALAXY S3 *I haven't post up my review! Oh no ;p* |
At first I thought the Wasabi will kill all my taste buds and chock me (No I can't really take wasabi) but amazingly the huge prawn is best served in this way. The fish eggs and wasabi blended well together. If you like prawn and wasabi you'll like this one
带子蜀米百合 @ Stir-fried Scallops with Lily Bulbs, Sweet Corn & Hawaiian Nuts |
A dishes of vegetables not forgetting to include scallops inside. The Hawaiian Nuts taste quite nice =)
药膳羊腩拉面汤 @ "La Mien" served with Herbal Lamb Shoulder Soup |
Do you like herbs? As this dishes is filled with herbs soup together with "La Mien". Remember to drink the healthy soup. A bite of lamb shoulder meat and a sip of soup. Bliss!
As you can see from the photo, this is a plate of battered brinjal together with crispy garlic. Once you start to eat you'll want to chew more.
The main dish among all other Ming Ren dishes, that took 6 hours to prepare and you'll need to pre-order it or else usually it will be sold out. Nicely stewed lamb meat that taste soft and with strong scent because of the sauce that has been cook together for long hours.
Special dessert for Dee Lin
Looking nice =)
Looking nice =)
One of the desserts specialties in Ming Ren Restaurant. A piece of Pistachio Ice Cream covered with a layer of almond on top. The ice-cream is made with lamb's ingredient but you will only taste a mild scent of it. So no worries sweet tooth =) You'll still able to enjoy it like a normal ice-cream, just that this one taste different! Remember to eat the ice-cream together with the almond first without mixing it with the pumpkin sauce at the bottom. This is to make sure you are able to taste the ice-cream.
All the food served and showed here cost around RM 1,500. Thanks again to Genting for inviting us =)
Chef Chew Hock Choi - The great chef behind these all dishes =) Thank you for your succulent food and shared with us on how you prepared the menu |
