IMAX Theatre @ TGV Sunway Pyramid Launched! Awesome Pawsome!

Yellow Guys! Have you been to the brand new IMAX Theatre @ TGV Sunway Pyramid? Thanks to TGVCinema I was one of the first to experience the awesomeness of IMAX technology with the awesome movie "Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol". Was a bit late that day because Samsung new laptop launched at the same day (gonna share in future post) hence missed out the open ceremony earlier.

But never mind, at least I watched an awesome movie in an awesome place! Tom Cruise is getting older but never fail to amaze me =)

HUGE Screen @ IMAX TGV Sunway Pyramid for best viewing plessure

This is the huge IMAX Theatre hall with comfortable seats. I was seating at the side but guess what? The movie screening and sound effects are still crystal clear and no distortion of the movie images too. The 2D effects is crystal clear enough and I hope can watch 3D movie there soon. The movie screen is as large as you seen and the images projected to the screen were perfectly fitted to the screen. That's the moment I feel "WOW". Now even if got people suddenly stand up it will only block a very small portion of the screen.

"2 Theatre halls was collapsed to accommodate the 57-feet wide screen, the IMAX hall encompasses 2D and 3D projection capabilities aided by 2 projectors, as well as a 14,000 watts laser-aligned sound system that utilizes 16 sub-woofers, ten times more powerful than a standard cinematic hall.

With a total seating capacity of 292, the hall boasts wide plush French designed seats, as well as wide legroom space. Apart from the IMAX hall, has three other new halls such as The Club; which is a yet to open premier hall, The Beanieplex; a beanbag seating style hall, and The Tiered-Seating halls; which are halls that offer different seating options.

In conjunction with the IMAX opening, TGV along with United International Pictures screened “Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol” which was filmed partially with IMAX cameras ahead of its local release this 15 December. TGV IMAX tickets are priced at RM22 for 2D movies and RM26 for 3D movies."
As for the seats, it is really comfortable and the legroom space is a lot wider too. No more sorry stepping on people's feet ;p After I watched MI4 in IMAX Sunway Pyramid and went back watch movie at normal movie theatre, I can feel that the screen was so small and the sound system wasn't as good as IMAX. So beware of getting addicted to IMAX =)

Last weekend I even recommended to friends to go watch Mission Impossible 4 again at TGV IMAX Sunway Pyramid because it is really an awesome stuff to share with friends. Trust me, the experience you get in the IMAX theatre room will ensure your money was well spent.

Of course, must thanks to the TGV teams that make this happen too =)

Almost forgot to mention about their new online booking system. No more problem of "I can't remember my username/password" as I can just purchase the ticket as long I have e-banking/Credit Card. I like the confirmation email with a QR Code as the booking code.

If you want to experience IMAX, feel free to book your tickets now @ www.tgv.com.my. A RM1 booking fees is surely worth your unwanted waiting time queuing there! Use the queuing time to shop in Sunway Pyramid!

PS: Mission Impossible 4 is a very good action movie to watch. I can guarantee you better visual and hearing experience if you watch it in IMAX theatre =) Get ready to be amazed! Cheers!
