Welcome Seafood Restaurant @ Asia City Kota Kinabalu 大茄来海鲜餐厅

Arrived at Kota Kinabalu through AirAsia budget flight, check-in King Park Hotel, we took a rest before hunt for dinner. Listened to the suggestion from the guy who we rent a van from, which is to visit the Welcome Seafood Restaurant 大茄来海鲜餐厅 @ Asia City near SJKC Chung Hwa Kota Kinabalu.

It was dinner time and the restaurant is quite crowded as we need to search for seats
You are advised to do reservation first

It is good to have aquarium having their living seafood displayed there. This is to ensure that the seafood that you eat are all fresh but not dead.

Price reference for lobster, prawns, crab and lots of shell. Ranging from RM2/100g to RM38/100g.

All kind of sea fish price ranging from Rm5/100g to RM30/100g

You can pick your own seafood. But she was just playing around with the crab.

First time see Mantis Shrimp trapped inside the water bottle. To prevent they jump out from the aquarium I guess.

Here's what we ordered:

Fried Soft Shell Crab @ 生软蟹
Nothing so special about it, normal as what I had before in Japanese Restaurant.

BIG Lala/Clam Soup @ 马蹄汤

The soup is okay, I personally think that the big old clam has over chewy meat. Not suitable for people with denture. If you are ordering make sure you order smaller size clam for tender meat.

Fried Butter Tiger Prawn @ 干奶生虎虾

The prawn meat is fresh but it is really expensive even we just ordered 3 tiger prawns
*regret*

Sambal Sabah Vege @ 三岜樹仔菜

It looks like kangkung from far but it is crispier. My first time try this kind of vege.

So the dinner cost us RM208 with RM114 contributed by the prawn. I guess they count RM38/prawn instead of 100g ~ Overall it is just moderate for me, maybe we should order lobster/crab instead of the Tiger Prawn.
