HTC Desire S Review: Unbox + First Impression #maxis10

Here comes the long awaiting HTC Desire S. Want to thanks #maxis10 again for choosing me as one of the brand new gadget reviewer. Let see what I can share with you guys starting now!

Once received the brand new HTC Desire S from Maxis I can't stop my self but to open it on the spot and check if the battery can function or not. So here comes the unboxing part. It was covered by a piece of plastic to cover it's screen. Saw the direction on how to open the back cover of the phone too when remove the plastic.

Here's the back view of HTC Desire S. I like the combination of the phone cover with rubber material around the small but powerful camera and LED Flash. Some more with the curvy look. Nice~!

Saw the little hole there? that's the mic and voice receiver. Will share more about this when sharing about video recording part. There are pro and con for that little "hole"

How to open HTC Desire S Battery cover?
Turn your phone upside down, use both your thumbs and push the cover up. That's the easiest way to open the tight battery cover. So after you slide down/up the phone cover, there is actually another safety lock that stabilize the battery. Gotta open from side so you can remove the battery safety slip.

PS: Thumbs up if this tip help =)

Once you open the safety lock you will able to see the SIM card slot and your expansion/ microSD card slot too. Built-in with 8GB micro SD Card. Nice x2

After remove the thin film that wrapped around the battery. The HTC Desire S is officially booted for the first time. Quietly brilliant since I put on the battery already.

I really like the sleek design of HTC Desire S as when you hold it on hand it is just at the right size. Weighing 130 grams only with 11.63mm thick. That's the universal USB Connector port. Same with my BlackBerry.

That means I can share the charger which bring me convenience if I wanna use both phone together.

Maybe I am very new to HTC smartphone and other product. I like their transformer/lego matching power adaptor. You can assemble and disassemble them anytime you want.

With USB Cable included, useful for me when wanna use for data transfer and use as tethering modem.
